Seal the envelope, print the label, and drop off at the post office in the "metered mail" slot in the lobby (I have stopped handing the envelope in at the counter, as it seems to slow down the mailing process).I purchased cardboard document mailers to ship souvenir coins via USPS. I then trim two pieces of cereal box or soda pop cardboard to fit moderately snugly inside a simple white envelope, and insert the stamp or card between the cardboard layers. I have successfully been able to ship my pokemon and yugioh cards via ebay standard envelope for several weeks now until I ran into a roadblock last night. The pathway must be cleared out manually, and the offending envelope will be set aside for reclassification: sometimes the envelopes are returned to the sender, but sometimes they are sent on to the buyer, marked "postage due." There are several USPS videos online which demonstrate the series of chutes, belts and rollers through which these envelopes MUST be able to travel at a VERY high speed - some of these series of rollers bend the envelopes nearly in HALF and so any envelopes which are not sufficiently flexible will clog up the system, preventing passage of not only the inflexible envelope, but ALL envelopes behind it. The company pointed to these paperboard envelopes as one of the acceptable options. It can’t be smaller than 3 by 5 inches nor larger than 6.125 inches by 11 inches. ![]() The envelope can’t be thicker than 1/4 inch.
